TRA Investment Bootcamp

Presented by The Davis/Yost Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management

Owners work their lives to build a business because they believe in the work, the opportunities it gives to those they love and to create a legacy for future generations. Whether the plan is to transfer your business to the next generation, or engage a third party to purchase your business, having a plan is critical and communicating that plan is equally as important. These sessions will help guide you as you make critical decisions on how, when and to whom your business should pass. It will also help determine the estate planning strategies, charitable and tax planning strategies to employ while on this journey.

Join TRA’s Two-part Investment Bootcamp which will address this with the following sessions:

10:00am – 12:00pm: Business Succession Planning – When dividing company equity between family members, key employees, or a third-party, what is “fair?” How will those various equity holders impact the company’s ability to raise outside capital or sell some or all of the business? We will reveal where families get blindsided, and how to maximize outcomes for everyone.

2:00pm – 4:00pm: Positioning Your Company for the “Next Phase” – Whether you are bringing on a new partner or outside investor to take you to the next level, or targeting a complete sale, how do you know that what you are selling is what they are buying? Positioning your company for such a change is different than the regular day-to-day operations, and we will address the challenges and solutions.
