Welcome to our table…

The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) is the leading business association for Texas’ $87 billion foodservice industry, which spans over 53,000 locations throughout the state, employing a workforce of 1.3 million – 12% of the state’s employment.

TRA works tirelessly to improve the business climate for its members. Whether it’s navigating the complex waters of ever-changing regulations, providing cutting-edge training and certification products, or empowering members to help reduce their bottom line with practical, relevant business solutions, TRA is an indispensable, one-stop resource for the foodservice industry. Our diverse network of members ranges from restaurant owners, operators, staff and suppliers, to educators and students. They include seasoned veterans and industry leaders, as well as those just entering the workforce for the first time.

Along with providing year-round support and a multitude of benefits, TRA unites the entire industry each year through the Texas Restaurant Show, the largest annual foodservice show in the Southwest. Part trade show, part conference, the Texas Restaurant Show provides a host of outstanding speakers, seminars and panels, covering the hottest trends and toughest operational challenges. Hundreds of exhibitors gather to showcase the latest products and services, creating an exciting two-day extravaganza of buying, selling and networking.

In addition, with nearly eight decades of success advocating on behalf of the unique needs of the industry, TRA safeguards and advances the interests of its members, closely monitoring a broad range of key issues that span the legislative spectrum. TRA keeps its members up to speed on relevant topics by offering webinars, video news segments, newsletters and an entire Advisory Network of professionals - ready to help tackle anything from legal questions to operations issues to marketing strategy.

TRA also helps build the workforce of tomorrow with its philanthropic arm, the Texas Restaurant Foundation, with educational programs and projects to develop young talent and nurture future industry leaders.

Texas has one of the most diverse and exciting restaurant industries in the country. We invite you to join us. When you become a TRA member, you automatically become a member of the National Restaurant Association as well as your local chapter, thus multiplying the value of your investment. We support you every step of the way in your industry journey. We advocate for the industry, so you can focus on your business.
